BCN Sports is launching a talent recruitment program in which, during an internship of 3 – 6 months, individuals will be trained and evaluated as potential candidates to obtain a full-time position in the company. 
These positions will be opened in Vancouver, Toronto (2), and Montreal.  It’s worth noting that the full-time position obtained within the company can be in any of the project currently run by BCN Sports:















Reporting to the Academy Manager (AM) for BCN Sports, the Assistant Academy Manager is the individual responsible for assisting the AM in the promotion of the Barça Academy brand and its activities at a local level through administration, customer service, event execution, and a strong online presence. 

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated individual with a passion for soccer (and ideally for FC Barcelona), a high level of commitment and availability, ability to work under tight deadlines, a proven ability to sell, and knowledge in digital marketing.      

  • Attend and assist in the execution of all academy and camp events, including external friendlies and tournaments, as well as our internal league

  • Act as a liaison between BCN Sports, coaches, players, parents, and the Local Project Director (DPL) from FC Barcelona

  • Coordinate tryouts for academy pre-registrants and arrange uniform delivery for accepted candidates

  • Manage and control FCBEscola inventory of branding, equipment, and uniforms

  • Schedule volunteers and ensure they have set up venues properly

  • Under the guidance of the AM and working with BCN Sports’ marketing department, create and execute social media/web content within FCBEscola’s brand guidelines

  • Convert leads into academy and camp sales by providing exemplary customer service and by handling phone and web inquiries in a professional manner

Other duties as prescribed by the LPM, DPL, and/or BCN Sports’ Managing Director              

  • Post-secondary diploma        

  • Additional languages (ideally Spanish) would be considered an asset, but not necessary

  • Provincial or National soccer association licensing in coaching or refereeing would be considered an asset, but not necessary

  • Must be able to work on evenings and weekends, and from home

  • Must have a reliable vehicle and access to a phone and the internet

  • Willingness to travel within Canada and abroad for camps and tournaments, as needed             

  • Ability to work with children from 4 to 17 years of age


To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will have oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with contacts internal and external to BCN Sports, an ability to work cooperatively in a team setting, organizational skills, and a customer service focus.

  • The internship will run from 3 to 6 months with an opportunity for a full-time position in the company

  • Approximately 30 hours per week will be required for this position
