OVERVIEW

Our second National Tournament is happening! After a successful tournament in Vancouver last year, we are taking the Canada Tournament to Toronto.  All five Canadian Escolas, Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Edmonton, will be participating in this second edition of the FCBEscola Canada Tournament.  We are sure it will be a fantastic event where players will be able to put their skills to the test against the other academies throughout the country and enjoy a wonderful trip with their families and friends.

HOTELS

All the players who choose the option of travelling with the team will stay at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Mississauga.  Here they will supervised by our staff members at all times.  Please note that if you are travelling as a family you will need to arrange your own and travel and stay for the tournament.  

PLAYERS & STAFF
Travelling with the team

Players and staff travelling with the team will stay at one of the two hotels listed below.  The hotels are five minutes from the fields by car.  We are still finishing assigning the hotels for the different teams and academies, we will let you know which of the two hotels we will be staying in shortly.

 
STRUCTURE
 

The tournament in Toronto will have a typical structure of a group stage followed by a knockout round.  Each age group would have two groups of which the top two teams will classify onto the knockout round.

STRUCTURE

The tournament will consist of a group stage followed by a knockout stage for the qualified teams.

GAMES

Each team participating in the tournament is guaranteed to play a minimum of six games during the event.

TEAMS

In total we will have between 6 to 8 teams of each age group.  

DURATION

All games will be 25 minutes long (U14 & U16 will be 50 minutes long) The tournament will start on Thursday and finish on Sunday morning.

PLAYERS

All games between ages U6 to U12 will be 7v7.  U16 games will be 11v11 and U14 will be determined soon.

SPORTSMANSHIP

All players participating in the tournament will be expected to abide by the values that represent the club.

 
TRAVEL OPTIONS

For the tournament we will offer two travel options in total.  The first travel package is for players travelling with their families.  The second option is for those players who want to travel with the team.  See below for more information:

OPTION 1
Family Travel

The Family travel option is for players who will be travelling to Toronto with their families.  This package does not include hotel, travel, or any other amenities. Players that choose this package will only have to pay the mandatory tournament fee of $275. 

OPTION 2
Team Travel

The team travel package includes the full experience of the tournament as well as all the extra activities.  Players who choose this option will have everything already paid for and will only have to worry about any personal expenses.  Flights, hotel, and meals will be included in this package.  All the details regarding the flight departure date and time will be released shortly.
